You can find further details of our clinics in their respective location pages.
We are open on weekends and selected weekdays. Availability may vary by clinic location.
You can book by calling us on 0141 221 2496. Our team will answer your questions and arrange an appointment for you.
All scans are performed by qualified and experienced Sonographers. Our team also works within local NHS hospitals and uses current clinical standards in every examination.
If you are well and symptom-free, you can attend our screening packages without a referral from your doctor.
If you have symptoms or wish to be assessed for a pre-existing condition, we will require your doctor to complete an ultrasound request form, which can be downloaded from here
The Sonographer may discuss their findings with you during the examination.
We will send a signed report of our findings to your doctor. You should then arrange an appointment with your GP, who will explain our findings to you.
We feel that your doctor is best placed to explain the findings to you because he will have details of blood tests and other investigations that may have been carried out.
Please visit our Prices page for full details of scan fees.
Most ultrasound appointments take around 20 minutes.
Some scans may require slightly longer depending on the area being examined.
We accept Debit cards and Cash. We do not accept cheques.
Ultrasound examination is a non-invasive and painless procedure.
Ultrasound has been used in medical diagnosis for more than 30 years, during which time no known harmful effects have been demonstrated.
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of structures inside the body.
A probe placed on the skin sends sound waves into the body. These waves bounce off internal organs and are converted by a computer into real-time images.
Ultrasound does not use X-rays or ionising radiation.
Ultrasound cannot see clearly through bone or air.
Areas such as the lungs, bowel gas and bony structures may need alternative imaging, such as X-ray, MRI or CT.
We use high-quality GE Voluson ultrasound systems, including the latest Voluson E8 technology. These scanners provide exceptional image clarity and are widely used in advanced diagnostic and obstetric imaging. Our equipment also includes 3D and 4D capability for selected scans, giving enhanced visualisation of fetal anatomy and soft tissue structures.
A loose and comfortable two-piece outfit is recommended.
This allows easy access to the area being scanned.
The procedure is non-invasive and painless. For most examinations, you will be asked to lie on the couch. For other examinations, you will be asked to stand or sit while the examination takes place. The Sonographer will move a transducer lubricated with warm gel over the area to be examined to obtain necessary images.
We provide detailed ultrasound imaging, but a full diagnosis must be made by your GP or referring clinician. They will interpret our report alongside your medical history and other investigations.
Some scans require a comfortably full bladder to improve image quality.
Your appointment confirmation message will give clear preparation instructions.
The Sonographer may explain what they can see during the scan.
A detailed report will be sent to your GP, who will arrange any further tests or follow-up care.
Preparation depends on the type of scan.
Most scans require no restrictions, while abdominal, liver and gallbladder, etc., may require fasting.
Your booking confirmation will include the correct instructions.
Same-day appointments may be available depending on the clinic schedule.

My whole experience from initial enquiry to having my scan was fantastic. The clinician performing the scan was clearly an expert in his field and talked me through his findings, as well as being courteous and professional. The receptionist was fantastic and very approachable. I left with a copy of my scan results. Highly recommended.AR
I secured an appointment for an ultrasound scan within a week. I was seen on time in comfortable surroundings in a central location. I received a report immediately after the scan, with a copy going to my GP. The price was reasonable, but the peace of mind secured was priceless.MH
I would highly recommend the clinic. What a relief to have an instant diagnosis of my health problems. I wish I had known sooner about access to the scan clinic!CP
